How to download your biodata as a PDF

PDF or image: which to send

PDF

Best for printing and for forwarding as a document. It keeps the exact A4 layout and prints sharply on any printer.

Image (JPG)

Best for WhatsApp chats. It opens straight away as a picture, with nothing to download, which suits elders who read on their phones.

Both

Many families send the image first, then share the PDF when someone wants a printed copy.

With a second page

The PDF has two pages, and the image download gives one picture per page.

Printing your biodata

The PDF is A4 (21 × 29.7 cm), the standard paper size in India. Print it at 100% or “actual size”. If your printer adds a wide border or shrinks the page, turn off “fit to page” in the print settings.

For copies you hand over in person, use 100 gsm paper or thicker and print in colour. Any print shop can do this from the PDF on your phone, usually for a few rupees a page.

Sending to families abroad

Email the PDF; it attaches easily because it is small. In the United States and Canada, printers use Letter-size paper instead of A4, so ask them to choose “fit to page” when printing. The biodata scales down slightly and still prints in full.

Changing your biodata later

A PDF is hard to edit, so the maker keeps your biodata saved in your browser instead. Open the maker on the same phone or computer, change any detail, and download a fresh PDF in a few seconds.

You can keep several versions in My biodatas, for example one in English and one in Hindi, or one for each of your children.

Sharing tips

• On WhatsApp, send the image as a photo for a quick look, and the PDF as a document so it stays sharp for printing.
• The file is named after you and the design, for example Priya-Sharma-kesar.pdf, so it is easy to find in a chat later.
• Our PDFs are usually well under 1 MB, so they send quickly even on mobile data.
• Before sharing widely, check the mobile number, and consider showing only your city instead of a full address.

Common PDF problems, and fixes

It will not open on a phone

Most phones open PDFs in the browser or in Google Drive. If yours does not, send the image version instead.

It prints too small, or with wide margins

Turn off “fit to page” and print at 100% on A4 paper.

The photo looks blurry

Start from a sharper original photo; photos forwarded on WhatsApp are compressed. Add the original in the maker and download again.

The second page did not download

The second page is included only when it has something on it, such as a photo, a kundli or a moved section.

I need to change one detail

Change it in the maker and download again. The PDF itself is not meant to be edited.

Why it prints the same everywhere

Each page of the PDF is a picture of the A4 page you see in the preview, so fonts, Hindi and Marathi letters and borders print exactly as they look, on any printer and any phone. The only trade-off is that the text in the PDF cannot be selected or copied; keep your details in the maker for that.
