Simple marriage biodata
A simple biodata is easier to read. Many families prefer one page, clear headings, a single photo and no heavy decoration.
Saral and Sada, our two plainest designs, are free to download, with a small line at the bottom naming our site. The Modern designs below are just as clean, with no line, and come with the ₹49 unlock.

Why simple works
Families read biodatas quickly, often on a phone, and often several in one evening. A simple biodata puts the important facts where the eye lands first: your name, photo, date of birth, height, education, work and family.
Decoration cannot make up for information that is missing or hard to find. A plain layout with well-chosen details usually leaves a better impression than an ornate one that is crowded.
Simple, but complete
Simple does not mean leaving out what families need. If they cannot find your date of birth, height or what you do, they will ask, and some will move on to the next biodata instead.
The aim is fewer words, not fewer facts. Write each detail in one short line, and let the headings do the organising.
A simple format, field by field
- Name
- Your full name, without titles.
- Date of birth and height
- The two details families check first.
- Education
- Highest degree and college, in one line.
- Work
- Your role and the city you work in.
- Family
- Parents' names and occupations, and brothers and sisters in a single line.
- Contact
- One name and one number.
- Photo
- One recent photo, in whatever frame the design gives it.
What to leave out
- Long lists of hobbies. Two or three are enough.
- Salary details, unless your family expects them.
- A full home address. The city is enough for a first introduction.
- Horoscope details, if your family does not match kundlis.
- More than one photo on the first page. One good photo works best.
- A long list of relatives. Parents and siblings are enough for a first look.
- Nicknames, unless families already know you by one.

Short About me lines
A simple biodata does not need a paragraph. One or two sentences are plenty.
- Easy-going and family-oriented; I enjoy music, travel and good food.
- Calm, honest and hardworking. Close to my parents and younger sister.
- A cheerful person who loves reading, cricket and weekend trips.
Short partner expectation lines
- Educated, kind and family-oriented.
- Well-settled and understanding, preferably in Mumbai. Caste no bar.
- Someone honest and caring who values both families.
Simple designs to choose from
- Saral (free)
- White, with a thin red band at the top and the photo on the right.
- Sada (free)
- A classic black double frame, with the photo above the name.
- The Modern family
- Nirmal, Sukoon, Shant, Akshar and Kajal: clean type, thin lines and quiet colour, without the credit line.
How it looks on a phone
Most biodatas are first read on a phone, zoomed in and scrolled. Plain designs with clear headings stay readable at that size, which is one more reason simple works. Open the image on your own phone before you send it, and check that every line is easy to read.
When a fuller biodata is better
- Your family matches horoscopes
- Add birth time, rashi and nakshatra, and the kundli on a second page.
- It is going in a community booklet
- Booklets are read side by side, so complete details and a clear photo help you stand out.
- You live abroad
- Add the country, your visa or residency, and whether you plan to return, since families will ask.
A simple biodata for a second marriage
If this is not your first marriage, a simple, honest biodata works best. Add a Marital status field with divorced or widowed, and mention children if you have any, with their ages. Families appreciate knowing up front, and it brings replies from those who are open to it.
A simple biodata checklist
- One page, one photo.
- Full name and date of birth at the top.
- Height in feet and inches.
- Highest degree, and your role and city.
- Parents and siblings in a few lines.
- One contact name and number, checked twice.
- No spelling mistakes in names.
- Saved as both a PDF and an image.
Questions
What is a simple biodata format for marriage?
One page with your name and photo, date of birth, height, education, work, family details and a contact number, in a plain design with clear headings.
Is there a free simple biodata?
Yes. Saral and Sada are free to download as a PDF or image, with a small line at the bottom naming our site.
Can a simple biodata still include kundli details?
Yes. Fill in the horoscope fields if your family uses them, or add your kundli on a second page so the first page stays simple.
How long should a simple biodata be?
One page. Around 15 to 20 lines of details is plenty for a first introduction.
Should a simple biodata have a photo?
Yes, one clear and recent photo. It is the first thing families look at, even on a plain biodata.
Can I make a simple biodata in Hindi or Marathi?
Yes. Choose हिन्दी or मराठी in the maker and the headings change language. Saral and Sada work in all three languages.
How do I mention a second marriage on a simple biodata?
Add a Marital status field with divorced or widowed, and mention children and their ages. Stating it plainly saves both families time.
Is a simple biodata less likely to get replies?
No. Families reply to the person and the details, not the decoration. A clear, complete biodata often does better than a crowded one.
What is the difference between Saral and Sada?
Saral is white with a thin red band and the photo on the right. Sada has a classic black double frame with the photo centred above the name. Both are free.
